Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University is one and only one of its kinds in the State. The University is located at Lonere, the place in the ranges of Western Ghat, at the foot of Raigad fort, the place from where Chhatrapati Shivaji administered his major activities. Welcome to Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering, Karjat. The College was established by "THE KONKAN GYANPEETH TRUST" in the year 1994 at Karjat in Raigad District, Maharashtra, with the sole aim of providing 1st Class education in the field of Engineering & Technology.

COEP's precursor, The Poona Engineering Class and Mechanical School was opened in July 1854, its aim being to provide suitable instruction for subordinate officers in the Public Works Department. The School was situated in Bhawani Peth, Poona , and the accommodation consisted of three small detached houses for teaching purposes and a separate house for the Principal.

Chief Minister of Maharashtra State & Ex. Governor of Rajasthan state). The College is located at Budhgaon about 10 km. from Sangli city. Established in the year 1969, the Mandal has been serving the sacred cause of education in the remote, adivasi part of the State of Maharashtra. Though the juridiction of the Mandal is the entire Maharashtra, it has concentrated on the Shahada tahasil of the State and this tahasil is 450 kilometers away from the state capital (Mumbai), adjoining the borders of the Gujrat State to the North side the M.P. to the East. This area is mainly populated with the economically & socially backward, poor peasants & the landless adivasis. To educate the young generation of such poor section of society, the Mandal has been conducting Colleges of Arts, Commerce, Science, Education (Degree & Diploma), Engineering streams and Polytechnic, Industrial Training Center, Pharmacy (Degree & Diploma), Horticulture,Institute of Business Management and Reasearch, Advanced Study Center of English and Indian Languages are the other units which the Mandal conducts.

Bangalore Institute Of Technology came into existence in Aug. 1979, under the auspices of Vokkaligara Sangha, Bangalore with an intake of 242 students. The present strength of the institute is 2510. The institute is provided with the necessary modern infrastructural facilities. BIT has high qualified and experienced teachers. Several companies have recruited BITians. It is of pride and jubilation that the students of BIT are spread all over the world and are holding important positions as engineers and technologists.
