The Telecommunications Systems Masters Program will enable the student to design, deploy, and test complete telecommunications systems. Students will understand how to select the latest telecommunication technology, standards and techniques. Graduates will be prepared for a professional career as a telecommunications engineer. The curriculum will include course work and hands-on projects in networking, satellites, signal processing and microelectronics. Graduates will be prepared for a number of high level management and technical positions in business and government, such as Chief Technical Officers (CTOs), Chief Scientists, Directors, and Telecommunications Managers

The Telecommunications and Networking (TCOM) Program at the University of Pennsylvania is a unique professional master's program for both full- and part-time students. Multidisciplinary in nature, this program draws its faculty from the Electrical & Systems Engineering and Computer & Information Science departments in the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), and from the Wharton School of Business. DePaul CTI takes an innovative approach to Distance Learning by offering each DL course in conjunction with an on-campus section of the same course. Live courses are recorded using CTI's Course OnLine system, then posted online for DL students to view at their convenience. In this way DL courses are generated anew every quarter, keeping the content and examples fresh. Students communicate with faculty and other students via telephone, email, online discussion groups, or online chat. All CTI DL courses are taught by the same distinguished faculty teaching the on-campus courses. The flexibility offered by our DL degree programs makes it possible for many students to pursue a graduate education despite the pressures of work and family obligations. Because requirements are the same in DL and on-campus courses, students are able to take whatever combination of online and on-ground courses that fits their needs.
