If Synchronization fails between BSC and BTS, the clock signal from BSC will not reaches to BTS and Abis link goes down and supervision not possible and we cant perform any operations at that site.

If yhe link is down ,then we use 2nd link ..means we use other bsc.we conect our bts with other bsc also.simply is that

The whole communication could create a mess. And blocks whole communication.

Basically a fluctuation in Abis link and you can check it through a simple LED or with a BERT meter & you can also called it that LAPD is in break.

If BTS-B fails to allocate resources to the MS, resources at BTS-A will not be .... to the MS after synchronization between the MS and BTS-B is achieved,A BTS will cover a specific geographical area depending on the location and ... If an MSC also acts as a switching centre between the PLMN

In short when BTS link fail with BSC then an critical alarm is generated at the MSC end which is basically RED alert that communication is break and the channels are not available through that BTS

Simply your whole communication is disturb.

BSC gets the time clock signals from three sources:
1. E1 clock.(SSP / Transport)
2. GPS Clock.
3. Internal Crystal Clock.

If all the three clock fails then there is no signalling possible between SSP, BSC & BTS. Hence calls will not mature but mobiles will show coverage. BTS's connected to that particular BSC will be affected.
