if 227 is in octal number then you can convert it in decimal

just clear first that 227 is in which number system

227 start multiply with multiple of 8 from right most bit

8^0 = 1
8^1= 8 and
8^2= 64
multiply 7*1= 7
2*8 = 16
2*64= 128
take total 128+16+7 = 151

Answer is 151
