VLAN — Virtual Local Area Network
ELAN — Emulated Local Area Network
Difference between these two are as follows:-
An ELAN is a type of VLAN over an ATM network. However, it is defined at the MAC layer while VLANs may be defined by a MAC layer or by a IP address, including by protocols.
