Large networks are covered by smaller
interconnecting networks called cells and at the
heart of these cells are whats known as BTS
(Base Transciever Stations).

BTS's are gateways to mobile networks, they
pump a signal in all directions upto 3 miles.
You can find them hidden in a variety of
locations like petrol stations, supermarkets and
billboards.

BTS signals carry upto 8 time slots (Channels)
and 7 of these slots are reserved for mobile
connections and the 8th is for the network to
manetain and manage calls.
