Era is the main brand name of Poland's largest mobile phone network operator, Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC). As in other European countries, the company operates a GSM network. 51 percent of the firm is owned by a consortium of Polish conglomerate Elektrim and French company Vivendi, and 49 percent belongs to German telecommunications firm Deutsche Telekom.

Vip mobile d.o.o. is a private mobile operator, the owner of the third mobile telephony license in Serbia for GSM and UMTS networks. It is a member of mobilkom austria group, which caters for more than 15.4 million satisfied users across eight countries in the region. It is recognized as a leader in innovations for it continually develops new technologies and services and is the first one to introduce them into the market.

T-Mobile entered the Slovak market in May 2005, when it acquired EuroTel Bratislava, and renamed it T-Mobile Slovensko. T-Mobile Slovensko is a subsidiary of Slovak Telekom, which is a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. The company has the same GSM coverage as Orange Slovensko in Slovakia. A third provider, Telefónica O2 Slovakia, obtained license in October 2006 and launched commercial service in February 2007, and launched the country's first 3G network in January 2006 in the centre of the capital city, Bratislava.

Orange España is a mobile network operator in Spain. It was previously known as Amena (pleasant in an amusing way in Spanish) until 2005, when it was bought by France Télécom. Its competitors are Movistar, Vodafone Spain and Yoigo. France Telecom gave the name of their cellphone brand to Amena.

3 is a brand used for nine mobile telecommunications networks in Europe, Asia and Australia. Hutchison Whampoa holds a direct or indirect, majority or minority interest in all of them. All 3-branded networks emphasize their offering of "mobile multimedia" and provide 3G technology. 3 is present in Australia, Austria, Denmark, Hong Kong and Macau, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Hutchison Whampoa also holds a 3G-license in Israel which operates under the brand Orange, and in Norway which is not operational yet. As of 22nd August 2007, registered 3 customers worldwide numbered almost 15.9 million.

Swisscom is the leading telecommunications provider in Switzerland. Along with Swiss Post, it is a successor company to the former state-owned PTT. Its headquarters are located at Worblaufen near Berne. The Swiss Confederation owns 52 percent of Swisscom.

Avea is Turkey's fast growing mobile communications company, which has a customer base of 10 million and represents 16% of the total market, offering innovative services tailored for the usage of both individual and corporate customers.
