The IMS requires a Service Capabilities Server (SCS) to interface to these foreign
services. The SCS enforces authentication, security, billing and policy.
In addition, there are External CAMEL interfaces. The IMS can provide access to
Customized Applications for Mobile network Enhanced Logic (CAMEL) that allows
the CS-CN to provide Advanced Intelligent Network Services that are customized to
the GSM/GPRS worlds.
The IMS requires an Service Switching Function (SSF) to provide an interface to
