Controlled PRC is a PRC’s which use remote Caesium tubes, e.g. In the satellites of the GPS navigation system. In this case radio signals are generated on the basis of Caesium tubes, received at the location of the PRC and used as the reference signal for an SSU. Two types of radio controlled PRC’s exist, land based and satellite based radio-controlled PRC’s .
