T1 is the United States standard, and is also used in Canada and Japan, and carries data at a rate of 1544 kbps

Difference between E1(European) & T1(American) is because of data rate.
E1=2.048Mbps
T1=1.544Mbps

E1 data rate is 2.048Mbps.

WHile

T1 data rate is 1.544Mbps

E1 is the European of data rate 2.048 Mbps
T1 is the USA standard of data rate 1.544 Mbp
In Pakistan E1 Standard is used

E1 is the European equivalent of a T1 but runs at 2.048Mbps and has 32 64Kbps channels
